Paul Barker, Mural Artist / Mural Painter

Paul Barker, founder of Googleplex, grew up in steamy New Orleans.

He worked his way through the University of Dallas by sailing on rustbucket ships as a Merchant Seaman, earning his Fine Arts degree in 1969.

He served as an infantry officer with the Marine Corps in Vietnam and, surviving that, taught elementary school in British Columbia and Southern California .

He did high-end custom cabinetry in Chicago until returning to art when he founded Googleplex in 1985.

He, his wife Danielle and daughter Niki, both artists,
live in an older home in Evanston having a large, shady yard infested with fairies.

They share it with an irrepressible Giant Schnauzer named
Beauregard, a primary cat who hoards dirty sox and a back up cat who battles with his tail and loses.
